AI CHUNG

Born in Taipei, Taiwan, an urban city characterized by multicultural and folk features, Ai Chung has accessed to a world of arts and media.

 

After having earned a double-major bachelor's degree in Graphic Communications and in Film/Television at Shih Hsin University in 2013, Ai Chung worked as a photographer, videographer and video editor in Taipei. She has expanded her professional fields to directing and cinematography by shooting debut short film Tunnel Passing. Currently, she is living in LA to pursue her MFA degree in TV, Film and Theatre at California State University, Los Angeles.
 

Ai Chung is interested in magic realism and incorporates dream-like surreal elements in her work. Now she focuses on exploring the topics on psychology, philosophy and feminism, and dedicates herself to form a unique style of crossing the boundaries of reality and fantasy.
